Author guidelines for oral presentations

Oral presentations are organised in oral sessions scheduled in specific lecture rooms at specific times. The lecture room and time for each contribution is given in the programme.

The time assigned for each contribution includes discussion and change over. The oral sessions are scheduled in four time blocks per day.

The oral presentations are not organised centrally. Therefore, authors are kindly asked to upload their presentations directly in the respective lecture room within 30 minutes preceding the start of the actual time block of the session. A lecture room assistant will be available for any help.

This shall give all participants the chance to revisit your contribution. The upload of your presentation is free of charge and is not followed by a review process. Oral summary of posters

Conveners or chairpersons may ask authors of poster papers of their session to provide ad hoc a short, 2-5 min. summary of their contribution during their oral session (1-2 slides) in case a gap should occur in the time schedule and no stand-by paper is available to fill in. Poster presenters may also be contacted by the convener before the conference with the request to provide two key sentences and/or one slide about their poster.

This year specific time slots for 1-minute espressi-talks (introductions of posters) are reserved for each session, normally during the oral block, or at the start of each poster session. Please see details in the guidelines for poster presentations.

It is strictly prohibited to take photos and/or make copies from notebooks of any scientific material without the express permission of the authors. Mobile phones must be switched off/in mute mode during the sessions.
